Artist: Kim Acerra Guidi Clay Artist Kim Acerra Guidi Kim creates works that find inspiration in the body of the plant. Their designs, colors and growth patterns are what intrigue her. It is with this interest that she wants to express to the viewer to look a little closer at the natural world around them and the endless wonders. She received her BFA from Swain School of Design, New Bedford, Massachusetts as well as being excepted to Virginia Commonwealth University as a Graduate Candidate in Clay. She has exhibited work in galleries and in juried competitions throughout the country. In addition, Kim's wall sculptures are in numerous private collections. She continues to explore the plant world to share her unique perceptive on plant's and plant growth with the viewer. The work has its heart in the history of clay with discernment towards how its language can be revisited today. Kim lives in Tucson, Arizona where she now draws her inspiration.
